You can volunteer for Quaggy Development Trust. We offer some great opportunities for you. Apart from gaining valuable experience that will add to your CV, we also offer training depending on your role as a volunteer. Existing and previous volunteers have completed the following:

  • Safeguarding
  • Family First Aid
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Children’s Centre Volunteer
  • Health and Safety
  • Committee Membership

Parent Forum

You have a chance to have a voice in shaping the services in your community. Being a member of the Parent Forum means you will get up to date information on services and may have some input in shaping them. All member receive training on being a member. The main focus of the Forum is to represent the community in having a voice about the work that is carried out across Children’s Centre services and Nursery provision. There are different roles as a Forum member. This includes Chairing the meetings as Chair, dealing with the membership and records of the Forum as Secretary, dealing with the finance of the Forum as Treasurer and also the role of Forum Member, where you attend meetings and help out at events. This may sound scary to some people, but you will be provided with all the support you need, and the Forum is welcoming and friendly. Being a member will provide experience for your CV and most importantly you will be supporting and engaging with your local community.
